You’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties, including:
- 1.Clearing a construction site
- 2.Digging trenches for foundations
- 3.Setting up a site, putting up barriers, safety signs, huts, etc.
- 4.Following all health and safety procedures
- 5.Providing excavation support to other construction professionals
- 6.Interpreting the use of drawings and specifications
- 7.Laying pavements, kerbs and driveways
- 8.Concreting sites
- 9.Removing drainage and pipework systems
- 10.Operating plant machinery, such as excavators and dumper trucks
- 11.Preparing the ground/foundations to allow construction to begin
